Michelle Lemon, APRN-NP, is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. Michelle has extensive experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. She is the former Director of Behavioral Health Services at BryanLGH. She has worked for many years collaboratively with providers and physicians in the community and has been active in community service and volunteer work. She has been trained in mediation and conflict resolution. She has also taught psychiatric nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, her alma mater. Michelle has presented at national conferences on the care and treatment of Persons with Dual Diagnosis and on Implementing Mental Health Services in Hospital Emergency Departments. She has served on numerous non-profit boards in the community including St Monica’s and Cornhusker Place. She is a 2014 recipient of the Nebraska Nurse Practitioners Helping Hands Award. Michelle is a consultant at Houses of Hope and most recently has been working in a busy private practice.
Melissa is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a solid educational foundation, having earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 1996 and a Master's in Nursing in 2009 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Additionally, her Master of Arts in Counseling from Doane University in 2006 adds to her expertise in the field. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, she has been a key member of Genesis Psychiatric Group since it was established in 2015.
Melissa enjoys working with a diverse age group, providing diagnostic evaluations and medication management for patients aged 6 and older. Residing in Lincoln, she enjoys time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. Her hobbies include gardening, baking, traveling—especially to Disney—and watching her daughter play softball.
Trish Jobman is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who performs diagnostic evaluations and provides medication management. Trish earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Union College, her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and also a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Nebraska. Trish has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient clinic or residential inpatient settings. Trish’s focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic mental health diagnoses through psychiatric assessment and medication management. Trish enjoys spending her free time with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys watching her children’s activities, traveling and spending time outdoors with her family.
McKenzie Jones, APRN-NP, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who performs diagnostic evaluations and provides medication management and brief therapy. McKenzie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bryan College of Health Sciences and her Master’s degree in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. McKenzie has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Prior to joining the team of providers at Genesis, McKenzie worked for ten years at a local hospital in the adult mental health unit as a staff and charge nurse. In addition, she has served in the military since 2007 and is currently a Captain with the United States Army Reserves. McKenzie enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, walking her dog Loki, reading, and traveling.
Andrew Corbin is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Union College and his Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Andrew has experience working with the adult population on an inpatient medical, residential and psychiatric setting as well as served as a clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students while in graduate school. Andrew can provide psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacological management for individuals age 18 and older, from new onset to chronic complex clinical presentations with the aim of assessing and treating both the physical and mental effects of a psychological disorder. Andrew believes in building a therapeutic alliance with all his clients to jointly establish goals, treatment options, and expectations of a working partnership. Andrew is an advocate for mental health awareness and is here to help in every step of the way. In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, friends, exercising, and partaking in outdoor activities.
Heather Perkins is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who performs psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy. Heather is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. From new onset to chronic complex presentations, Heather will work alongside you in establishing personalized goals for both your mental and physical health. Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix. Heather then earned a Post Master's Certificate in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center specializing in psychiatry. Heather enjoys spending her free time reading, spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with family and friends. Heather also enjoys ice fishing, playing pickleball, tennis and watching women’s basketball.
Jeff Austin is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He has over 20 years experience working with adults in both acute and long-term mental health care settings. Jeff can provide psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacological management for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, and anxiety. Jeff has an interest in working with his clients to develop a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan to help achieve long-term success in reaching and sustaining their mental health goals.
Bonnie is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist who has been working with individuals and families in Nebraska for the past nineteen years. She works primarily with clients suffering from eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Her work has been in private practice in Central Nebraska. Bonnie’s background includes a B.A. from The University of Texas, Austin, a M.A. in Communications from the University of Nebraska, and a M.S. in Counseling from the University of Nebraska. Bonnie employs Cognitive-Behavioral and Mindfulness therapy techniques as she focuses on helping her clients develop insight into the problems they are facing to experience the hope and possibility of change.
Jason is a native of Nebraska having lived here all his life. His experience and training is comprised from small private practice, college counseling centers and psychiatric practice settings. He has extensive experience with adults, adolescents, and children and believes in an integrated care approach. Jason provides individual, couples and family therapy.
Melissa was born in Iowa and has lived throughout the Midwest. She has spent the past 25 years in Nebraska. Her experience comes from extensive work in Multi-Systemic Therapy models across a variety of settings. Melissa has experience with adults, adolescents and children. She provides individual and family therapy.
Annie De La Cruz, is a licensed independent mental health professional with over 12 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. She received her Master of Arts degree in counseling from Webster University in St. Louis Missouri. She has spent time working in residential psychiatric facilities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health facilities, and in private practice.
Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices. She specializes in working with children and adolescents but loves to work individuals of all ages with depression, anxiety, trauma history, co-occurring disorders and many other mental health needs. With the use of multiple therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and reality-based therapy Annie works with her clients to tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. Tonya comes to Genesis with over 21 years of behavioral healthcare management experience. As Practice Administrator at Genesis, Tonya is focused on ensuring excellent customer service and care in an efficient and positive practice environment.
Tonya has extensive experience in telehealth and satellite location program implementation and oversight. She is expert in clinical operations including implementation of various electronic health records, provider recruitment, and credentialing. Tonya has successfully developed new mental health programs and prides herself in patient advocacy. She also has experience in revenue cycle management, grant writing, and marketing. In her previous position, Tonya was key in the development of one the largest Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation programs in the US, as well as in the exponential growth of psychiatric satellite and telemedicine service locations in the Midwest.
